Recent changes in the Energy Program have been approved.
"CASH 4 APPLIANCES" Program is being activated, eligible purchases between July 29, 2010 and February 17, 2012 are eligible.
As a part of the stimulus bill, The American Recovery and Reinvestment act of 2009 (ARRA) will allow California residences to qualify for additional rebates on Qualified ? Energy Star? Rated central air conditioning and heating equipment, when replacing an existing system.
This will be in addition to the one-time Federal Tax Credit of 10% Federal Tax Credit up to $150.00. on eligible equipment installed.
Summary of CEC Rebates Available for Heating & Air
· All equipment must be listed as an Energy Star Product on the energy star website
· Must be a California residential consumer with a valid California residential address.
· Must be purchased from a California Contractor
· Rebates limited to one appliance from each category per California address
· Must be installed prior to completion of application
· Purchaser must allow access to an inspector to verify installation
· Verification of product rating through AHRI
· Building Permit must have been applied for and inspection completed
· Proof of Recycling needed.
· First come first served ? Approx. 20 million in available funds.
· Recipients must maintain all records for 3 years.
· Type, Brand, & Model number of old (prev. installed equipment)
· Copy of Invoice with UPC code attached required
· Proof of Residence Req. (ex. recent utility bill)
Program ends February 17, 2012 or when funds have been exhausted, no extensions.
